Peak Performance Academy will be delivering Olympic Taekwondo classes to students of St John Fisher RC primary school in Raynes Park SW20.
Taekwondo translates to "The way of the Hand and the Foot" and is a Korean Martial art and and Olympic Sport since the Sydney Olympics In 2000. Students will learn basic blocks, hand strikes and Kicks, as well as learning basic sparring techniques. After school club sessions will not involve students making contact on each other, striking pads will be used for students to deliver their techniques.
Classes will be delivered by Bianka Fjeld Black belt 3rd Dan, Head Poomsae coach at Peak Performance in Wimbledon. Bianka has coached athletes from absolute beginners to athletes representing at regional and National Level.
